Another Novelli success - 28/02/2010

COURT THROWS OUT SPURIOUS CASE AGAINST NOVELLI The litigation team, led by Dean Dunham is celebrating another victory after a case brought against Jean Christophe Novelli, Michelin starred and 5AA Rosette award winning TV celebrity chef for alleged non-payment of fees was thrown out by the Judge at Luton County Court. Commenting on the case after the hearing, Jean Christophe Novelli said that he had known David MacBeth for a number of years and he had given him the opportunity to assist him. “I knew he was looking for work and I felt sorry for him and wanted to help but he took advantage of me and my staff and then wrongfully issued proceedings against me, resulting in today’s attendance in court.” Mr Novelli went on to say: “Because of my name some people want to take advantage of me but I hope they will now realise that there can be a price to pay when they try to waste my time.” The Claimant was also ordered to pay Mr Novelli’s costs.
